Hello World! Thank you for finding my travel blog! Just in case you haven't visited my About Me page yet, my name is Meghan Chayka and from January to May of 2018, I will be studying abroad at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland!!!
My purpose for starting this blog is so that you and other fellow adventurers may follow my journey throughout Scotland and other destinations throughout Europe! While I wish I could have you here with me, I intend to live my life to the fullest, taking advantage of every opportunity that comes my way, trying new food, venturing to new places, creating new cultural memories with the locals, taking photos and just being in the moment, that I will share with you through my blog posts, kinda like your own personal platinum passport experience!
As I travel, you will be able to find my day to day memories here under my Blog Tab. My blog will include topics pertaining to whatever I have encountered during the day, one fun fact per day pertaining to Scotland or the country I may happen to be in, maybe a fun fact or two about the class I am taking, the weather, what's in my adventure bag, and anything else that I would love to personally share with you!
Of course as I travel, so that you may be able to experience my journey as though it's your own, under the Reviews Tab on my page you will be able to find reviews pertaining to food/ restaurants, hotels and excursions I go on. Keeping in mind that everyone has their own personal standards that each one of these categories may be based off of, the purpose of my reviews will be to paint a picture in your mind of the foods I try, the hotels I stay at and go into more detail about excursions I go on with a brief rating at the end in order to help you learn more about the world we all live in!
Now perhaps my favorite piece of my blog, the third page you see is my Photography Tab! One of my favorite parts about traveling is to be able to use my camera lense as an extension of my creative mind to take photos of this beautiful world we live. My photos range anywhere from capturing artsy landscapes to displaying travel images of myself, for my goal is to document all my adventures as I feel so blessed to be able to have the opportunity to be able to travel!
To say I feel blessed is a bit of an understatement, for I more so feel grateful and honored to be able to be your travel guide throughout the world, make adventure memories and personally will have the opportunity to individually grow! So without further or due, ladies and gentlemen, please make sure you have fastened your seat belt, your table tray is upright and all of your carry-ons are stowed away. As your captain speaking I can ensure you that this will be a peaceful flight so as soon as we take-off feel free to roam about the cabin. We will be landing at our destination soon, but in the meantime please enjoy some snacks and reading other sections of The Platinum Passport travel blog while we journey throughout the sky!
